Paraprofessional - Special Education 185-Day Position (10 Month)
Salary will be prorated from the start date until the end of the school year.
Now accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional to work with students with disabilities in a classroom environment under the guidance of a licensed teacher. Must meet federal criteria to be highly qualified by having completed at least one of the following:
- Hold an associate's degree from an accredited college
- Completed two years of college coursework (minimum of 48 credit hours)
- Passed the ParaPro assessment
Qualifications:
- Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for student and staff performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community members
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Basic computer skills involving word processing and spreadsheets
- Previous experience working with students preferred
- Selected applicants must satisfactorily complete a drug and alcohol screen, criminal records check, and Child Protective Services check.
